The Bible in 90 Days: Week 11 & 12 (April 22, 2011)

Reading Two Weeks Ago: Habakkuk 1 -- Luke 9

Reading This Past Week: Luke 10-Romans 14

Thoughts From The Reading: Okay, so I forgot to post the blog post last week. I am sorry. Finishing this reading has been one of those difficult things. I have had many things going on that have cut into my time to stay up on the reading. We recently moved into another rental house. I have been sick on and off for several weeks. But saying that, I am not trying to make excuses. I hope you are up to the reading. I think I might re-title this for me, The Bible in 100 Days (know what I mean?).

Anyways, this past week was really good because it was about Jesus! The longer I live and grow in Christ, I have come to love the gospel accounts of Jesus more and more. And specifically that today is Good Friday, we think about the death of Jesus Christ today, I loved reading much of this this past week. What did you enjoy?

Reading Next Week: Can you believe there is just one more week left in the reading plan? Keep going. I hope you have grown through this process of reading the Bible all the way through at this pace. Please share your thoughts below.

  1. I know you have been busy with moving..ect, so I won't give you too hard of a time for forgetting last week. Been busy around here at the farm and a busy week at GBC.
I'm only about a day behind. Bit suprised it's not more. Been getting in a chapter now and then while waiting to refill the planter or loading the sprayer.
I did notice at least on benefit of the 90 day reading plan vs the year plan. (Granted, on the 90 day plan you do get to speed read a bit while the year plan does let you soak in a bit more.) This time when I read the genealogy in Matthew 1, I recognized a good share of the names. I heard somewhere that 1 in every 10 verses in the New Testament references something in the Old Testament. As we have been reading this past week, I would tend to believe it.
I should get caught back up in a day or two. Too dry here to plant and too windy to spray today. Should get some reading time in.
Wow... only a week left. 90 days has gone by quickly. When are we going to do this again? Maybe we should read the Bible in 90 days every 90 days.... Yes...we should.

  2. Had some time today and got caught back up. Only two more days??? I think this is more reading than I have ever done. See how the next couple of days go. If it works out, we should get done planting corn the same day I finish reading the Bible this time.
I'll check back in a couple days.
